Ingredients:
- One cup Basmati rice
- A dozen soy chunks.
- Quarter cup frozen green peas.
- One cup milk.
- One cup water.
- Two finely chopped onions.
- Four chillies sliced lengthwise.
- Ginger garlic paste.
Seasonings:
- Half teaspoon jeera.
- Half inch long stick of cinnamon.
- Two cloves.
- One bayleaf.
- Two cardamoms.
Preparation:
- Soak soy chunks in warm water for ten minutes till they look larger and softer.
- Heat four teaspoon of oil and two teaspoon of ghee in a pan.
- Saute the seasonings above till a faint aroma comes.
- Add the onions and ginger garlic paste and continue till they turn golden.
- Add water and milk and heat slightly.
- Add washed Basmati rice, green peas and soy chunks.
- Cook the mixture in a rice cooker.
- Garnish with cashew nuts and caramelized onion rings.
